In Friday's league test, the LifeSpring Academy Lions (Clayton, NC) basketball squad knocked off the host Star Christian Academy Golden Tigers (Smithfield, NC), by a score of 71-60.

Next, the Lions encounter the Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf Fighting Hornet (Wilson, NC) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, January 7. LifeSpring Academy will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Fighting Hornet come into the test with a 2-3 record after their 53-51 league win over N.C. School for the Deaf (Morganton, NC).

The Golden Tigers (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC). The Cougars come into the non-league test with a 5-5 record.
