The Dons now possess a 16-1 record. They play next when they travel to Alamogordo for a non-league bout on Thursday, December 26. Palo Duro will play a Tigers team coming off a 68-33 non-league loss to Roswell (Roswell, NM). The Tigers record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Lubbock falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Westerners travel to Coronado (Lubbock, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 5A Region I District 3 bout on Tuesday, December 31. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 3-9.
