South Dakota High School Basketball - Mitchell holds off Stevens

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Mitchell Kernels basketball team scored a close 55-52 triumph over the Stevens Raiders.

The Kernels (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Rapid City Central (Rapid City, SD). The Cobblers go into the AA contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Rapid City Central was tipped by Pierre T.F. Riggs (Pierre, SD), 62-56, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Raiders encounter the Huron Tigers (Huron, SD) in a AA challenge, on Saturday, December 21. Stevens will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 65-60 league win over Brookings (Brookings, SD).
