Kansas High School Basketball - Salina Central succumbs to Newton

In Friday's league test, the Newton Railroaders (Newton, KS) basketball squad defeated the visiting Salina Central Mustangs (Salina, KS), by a final score of 67-52.

Next, the Railroaders clash with the Andover Trojans (Andover, KS) in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail II test, on Friday, January 3. Newton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Trojans come into the test with a 2-2 record after their 81-55 league win over Goddard (Goddard, KS).

The Mustangs (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Valley Center (Valley Center, KS). The Hornets come into the non-league test with a 4-0 record. In their last test, Valley Center overcame South (Salina, KS), 51-48, in a league test.
