Texas High School Basketball - Ozona fells Sonora

December 20, 2024: Sonora, TX 76950

The Ozona Lions basketball team scored 63 points and limited the host Sonora Broncos to 52 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now have a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Miles for a non-league game on Friday, December 27. Ozona will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 64-57 league win over Ballinger (Ballinger, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-3.

With the loss, Sonora falls to 8-9 on the campaign. The Broncos travel to Sterling City (Sterling City, TX) to confront the Eagles in a 2A Region I District 7 game on Friday, January 3. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 7-6. Sterling City lost 70-45 in their recent league game against Christoval (Christoval, TX)
