The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Peotone Blue Devils (Peotone, IL) and the visiting Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL), observed Peotone's basketball team overcome Reed-Custer by a margin of 54-42.

The Blue Devils (3-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Momence (Momence, IL). The Momence Athletics come into the non-league challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Momence dropped by Grant Park (Grant Park, IL), 51-41, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Comets battle the Serena Huskers (Serena, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 8. Reed-Custer will attempt to better on its 2-9 season record.
