Virginia High School Basketball - West Springfield holds off West Potomac

The West Springfield Spartans basketball team scored 44 points and limited the visiting West Potomac Wolverines to 42 in the Spartans league triumph on Friday.
The Spartans now have a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Fairfax for a District 4 game on Friday, January 3.
With the defeat, West Potomac drops to 2-3 on the year. The Wolverines travel to Fleming (Roanoke, VA) to meet the Colonels in a non-league battle on Friday, December 27. The Colonels enter the battle with a record of 5-2. Fleming won 46-39 in their recent non-league battle against Heritage (Lynchburg, VA)
