In Friday's non-league contest, the host Central Spartans basketball team scored a close 32-30 win over the Southwest EC Eagles.
The Spartans (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Shadow Hills (Indio, CA). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Shadow Hills was tipped by Calexico (Calexico, CA), 42-40, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Vincent Memorial Scots (Calexico, CA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 10. Southwest EC will attempt to better on its 0-5 season record.
