The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Emery Spartans (Castle Dale, UT) and the visiting Manti Templars (Manti, UT), observed Emery's basketball team knock off Manti by a score of 56-45.

The Spartans (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Canyon View (Cedar City, UT). The Falcons come into the non-league challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Canyon View prevailed over Juab (Nephi, UT), 43-19, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Templars encounter the Carbon Dinos (Price, UT) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 3. Manti will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
