The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Middletown Knights (Middletown, MD) and the visiting Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD), observed Middletown's basketball team edge Catoctin by a score of 50-49.

The Knights (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Yorktown (Arlington, VA). The Patriots come into the non-league challenge with a 2-7 record. In their last challenge, Yorktown was tipped by George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA), 50-30, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons (Olney, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 28. Catoctin will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record.
