The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Neshoba Central Rockets (Philadelphia, MS) and the visiting Columbus Falcons (Columbus, MS), observed Neshoba Central's basketball team overwhelm Columbus by a score of 53-28.

The Rockets (7-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Meridian (Meridian, MS). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 8-6 record. In their last challenge, Meridian was routed by Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS), 57-38, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Falcons encounter the Ridgeland Titans (Ridgeland, MS) in a 6A Region 2 challenge, on Monday, December 30. Columbus will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record.
