In Friday's league contest, the host D'Hanis Cowboys basketball team scored a big 51-16 win over the Knippa Crushers.

The Cowboys (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Utopia (Utopia, TX). The Buffaloes come into the 1A Region IV District 31 contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, Utopia was trounced by Nueces Canyon (Barksdale, TX), 59-22, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Crushers battle the Rocksprings Angoras (Rocksprings, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 31 contest, on Monday, December 30. Knippa will attempt to better on its 0-9 season record. The Angoras come into the contest with a 6-15 record after their 37-36 league loss to Medina (Medina, TX).
