The Elgin Maroons basketball team scored 87 points and limited the visiting Larkin Royals to 27 in the Maroons league triumph on Friday.

The Maroons now have a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Downers Grove North for a non-league game on Monday, December 23. Elgin will confront a Trojans team coming off a 41-26 non-league win over Downers Grove South (Downers Grove, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 9-3.

With the loss, Larkin falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Royals host South Elgin (South Elgin, IL) to confront the Storm in a Upstate Eight game on Saturday, January 4. The Storm go into the game with a record of 8-5.
