The Melba Mustangs basketball team scored 52 points and limited the visiting Fruitland Grizzlies to 39 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now have a 9-3 record. They play next when they host Marsing for a 3A Snake River Valley game on Wednesday, January 8.

With the loss, Fruitland falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host Marsing (Marsing, ID) to confront the Huskies in a non-league game on Saturday, January 4. The Huskies go into the game with a record of 6-5. Marsing won 38-35 in their recent non-league game against Wendell (Wendell, ID)
