In Friday's league contest, the visiting George C. Marshall Statesmen basketball team scored a good 50-30 triumph over the Yorktown Patriots.
The Statesmen (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Annandale (Annandale, VA). The Atoms go into the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Annandale was toppled by Falls Church (Falls Church, VA), 40-22, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Patriots confront the Blake Bengals (Silver Spring, MD) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 27. Yorktown will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The Bengals go into the contest with a 1-3 record after their 46-39 non-league loss to Blair (Silver Spring, MD).
