In Friday's league contest, the visiting Oakdale Eagles basketball team scored a big 53-28 win over the Greenback Cherokees.
The Eagles (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Cloudland (Roan Mountain, TN). The Highlanders come into the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Cloudland was trounced by Coalfield (Coalfield, TN), 50-42, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cherokees battle the Coalfield Yellow Jackets (Coalfield, TN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 3. Greenback will attempt to better on its 0-10 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the contest with a 9-3 record after their 67-62 non-league win over Clarkrange (Clarkrange, TN).
