The Teague Lions basketball team scored 54 points and limited the host Groesbeck Goats to 17 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now possess a 7-9 record. They play next when they host Liberty for a non-league game on Saturday, December 28. Teague will play a Panthers team coming off a 72-29 league loss to Hardin-Jefferson (Sour Lake, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 11-9.

With the loss, Groesbeck falls to 8-13 on the campaign. The Goats travel to Buffalo (Buffalo, TX) to play the Bison in a 3A Region III District 20 game on Friday, January 3. The Bison go into the game with a record of 14-4.
