The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Pottsboro Cardinals (Pottsboro, TX) and the host Howe Bulldogs (Howe, TX), observed Pottsboro's basketball team overcome Howe by a margin of 55-40.

The Cardinals (18-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Bowie (Bowie, TX). The Jackrabbits come into the non-league challenge with a 16-5 record. In their last challenge, Bowie defeated Jacksboro (Jacksboro, TX), 44-42, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Gunter Tigers (Gunter, TX) in a 3A Region II District 11 challenge, on Tuesday, December 31. Howe will attempt to better on its 2-14 season record.
