The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the St. James Saints (St. James, MN) and the visiting Luverne Cardinals (Luverne, MN), observed St. James's basketball team overwhelm Luverne by a score of 77-40.
The Saints (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Sibley East (Arlington, MN). The Wolverines enter the non-league battle with a 3-7 record. In their last battle, Sibley East was crushed by St. Mary's (Sleepy Eye, MN), 66-24, in a non-league battle.
The Cardinals now own a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Canby for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 2.
