Mississippi High School Basketball - Meridian succumbs to Northwest Rankin

In Friday's league test, the Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS) basketball squad defeated the visiting Meridian Wildcats (Meridian, MS), by a score of 57-38.

Next, the Cougars clash with the Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS) in a non-league test, on Friday, December 27. Northwest Rankin will attempt to improve on its 12-4 season record. The Warriors come into the test with a 9-2 record after their 39-35 non-league loss to Callaway (Jackson, MS).

The Wildcats (8-6) will now prepare for their test against Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS). The Rockets come into the non-league test with a 7-7 record. In their last test, Neshoba Central overcame Columbus (Columbus, MS), 53-28, in a league test.
