The Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs basketball team scored 60 points and limited the visiting Nevada Cubs to 23 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now have a 8-1 record. They play next when they host South Hamilton for a Heart of Iowa game on Friday, January 3. Prairie City-Monroe will confront a Hawks team coming off a 60-18 league loss to West Marshall (State Center, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Nevada falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Cubs travel to Perry (Perry, IA) to confront the Bluejays in a Heart of Iowa game on Friday, January 3. The Bluejays go into the game with a record of 3-6. Perry lost 58-29 in their recent non-league game against Boone (Boone, IA)
