The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the St. Peter Saints (St. Peter, MN) and the visiting New Ulm Eagles (New Ulm, MN), observed St. Peter's basketball team edge New Ulm by a score of 73-72.

The Saints (7-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Worthington (Worthington, MN). The Trojans come into the AAA Section 2 challenge with a 1-8 record. In their last challenge, Worthington was tipped by Waseca (Waseca, MN), 46-43, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the John Marshall Rockets (Rochester, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 27. New Ulm will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 82-42 league win over Albert Lea (Albert Lea, MN).
