Pennsylvania High School Basketball - William Penn can't hold off Red Lion

December 20, 2024: Red Lion, PA 17356

Red Lion Lions (Red Lion, PA) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting William Penn Bearcats (York, PA), 54-49 in a league match.

With the victory, Red Lion upgrades its record to 8-0 on the year. The Lions travel to Waynesboro (Waynesboro, PA) to face the Indians in a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. The Indians enter the match with a record of 2-2.

The Bearcats now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host J.P. McCaskey for a non-league match on Thursday, January 2. William Penn will face a Red Tornado squad coming off a 66-27 league loss to Manheim Township (Lancaster, PA). The Red Tornado record now stands at 0-5.
