Waseca Bluejays (Waseca, MN) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Worthington Trojans (Worthington, MN), 46-43 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Waseca advances its record to 1-8 on the year. The Bluejays travel to Plainview-Elgin-Millville (Elgin, MN) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Friday, December 27. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 6-2.
The Trojans now own a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Peter for a AAA Section 2 match on Thursday, January 2. Worthington will battle a Saints team coming off a 73-72 league win over New Ulm (New Ulm, MN). The Saints record now stands at 7-1.
