In Friday's non-league contest, the host Monticello Mustangs basketball team scored a good 34-23 triumph over the Goochland Bulldogs.
The Mustangs (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA). The Black Knights go into the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Charlottesville was topped by Orange County (Orange, VA), 46-39, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 10. Goochland will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record.
