California High School Soccer - Monterey Trail toppled by Pleasant Grove

Pleasant Grove Eagles (Elk Grove, CA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Monterey Trail Mustangs (Elk Grove, CA), 8-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Pleasant Grove moves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to McClatchy (Sacramento, CA) to meet the Lions in a non-league test on Monday, January 6. The Lions come into the test with a record of 8-2.

The Mustangs now sport a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they host West for a non-league test on Friday, December 27. Monterey Trail will meet a Wolfpack team coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Granada (Livermore, CA). The Wolfpack record now stands at 1-1.
