North Carolina High School Basketball - South Mecklenburg triumphant over Berry

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) and the visiting Berry Cardinals (Charlotte, NC), observed South Mecklenburg's basketball team overwhelm Berry by a score of 47-20.

The Sabres (6-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC). The Mavericks come into the non-league challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Mallard Creek trounced Hopewell (Huntersville, NC), 42-37, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cardinals encounter the Ardrey Kell Knights (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 3. Berry will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 5-1 record after their 49-27 non-league win over Ballantyne Ridge (Charlotte, NC).
