The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the South Johnston Trojans (Four Oaks, NC) and the visiting Fike Demons (Wilson, NC), observed South Johnston's basketball team knock off Fike by a score of 49-34.

The Trojans (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against C.B. Aycock (Pikeville, NC). The Golden Falcons come into the challenge with a 6-3 record. In their last challenge, C.B. Aycock prevailed over East Wake (Wendell, NC), 47-39, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Demons encounter the Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Fike will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 68-25 non-league loss to Hunt (Wilson, NC).
