In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Silver Fighting Colts basketball team scored a good 61-43 triumph over the Socorro Warriors.
The Fighting Colts (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Centennial (Las Cruces, NM). The Hawks go into the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Centennial was topped by Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM), 50-30, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Warriors battle the Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 7. Socorro will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record.
