The Morton Panthers (Morton, MS) basketball crushed the host Forest Bearcats (Forest, MS), 57-35 in Saturday's league bout.

The Panthers now possess a 7-5 record. They play next when they host McLaurin for a non-league bout on Monday, December 29. Morton will play a Tigers team coming off a 57-45 non-league win over Velma Jackson (Camden, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 8-8.

With the loss, Forest moves to 3-7 on the season. The Bearcats travel to Magee (Magee, MS) to encounter the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 29. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 5-4. Magee lost 62-47 in their recent non-league battle against Mendenhall (Mendenhall, MS)
