The Waco Lions (Waco, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Mansfield Tigers (Mansfield, TX), 55-51 in Tuesday's league test.
The Lions (5-13) will now prepare for their test against Cedar Hill (Cedar Hill, TX). The Longhorns go into the 6A Region II District 11 test with a 12-4 record. In their last test, Cedar Hill got by Lake Ridge (Mansfield, TX), 51-41, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 9-7 record. They play next when they host North Little Rock for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 28. Mansfield will encounter a Charging Wildcats squad coming off a 66-64 non-league win over Greenwood (Greenwood, AR). The Charging Wildcats record now stands at 8-1.
