Melba Mustangs (Melba, ID) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Weiser Wolverines (Weiser, ID), 81-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Melba upgrades its record to 8-0 on the season. The Mustangs host North Star (Eagle, ID) to clash with the Huskies in a 2A Western Idaho bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 3-3. North Star won 74-48 in their recent league bout against Compass Charter (Meridian, ID)

Next up, the Wolverines clash with the Vale Vikings (Vale, OR) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Weiser will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 63-53 non-league loss to Payette (Payette, ID).
