Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Warwick Raiders (Newport News, VA), 62-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Nansemond River upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Warriors host Franklin (Franklin, VA) to clash with the Broncos in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 7-0.

Next up, the Raiders clash with the Tabb Tigers (Yorktown, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 22. Warwick will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 0-7 record after their 62-53 league loss to Jamestown (Williamsburg, VA).
