Nevada High School Basketball - Virginia City can't hold off Pershing County

The Pershing County Mustangs basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Virginia City Muckers to 57 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Portola for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. Pershing County will battle a Tigers team coming off a 76-59 non-league win over Central Valley (Shasta Lake, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 8-4.

The Muckers (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Dayton (Dayton, NV). The Dust Devils enter the non-league contest with a 1-5 record.
