Davenport West Falcons (Davenport, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Assumption Knights (Davenport, IA), 60-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Davenport West upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Falcons host Muscatine (Muscatine, IA) to play the Muskies in a Mississippi bout on Friday, January 5. The Muskies go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Muscatine lost 65-51 in their recent league bout against North Scott (Eldridge, IA)

Next up, the Knights play the Bettendorf Bulldogs (Bettendorf, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Assumption will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 83-49 non-league win over Clinton (Clinton, IA).
