Beckville Bearcats (Beckville, TX) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Timpson Bears (Timpson, TX), 61-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Beckville upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Dalhart (Dalhart, TX) to play the Wolves in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 6-5. Dalhart won 41-36 in their recent non-league bout against Farwell (Farwell, TX)

Next up, the Bears play the Martins Mill Mustangs (Ben Wheeler, TX) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Timpson will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 16-1 record after their 90-21 non-league win over Miller Grove (Cumby, TX).
