Bogota Buccaneers (Bogota, NJ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Ridgefield Memorial Royals (Ridgefield, NJ), 74-67 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Bogota upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to Hackensack (Hackensack, NJ) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 23. The Comets come into the bout with a record of 2-0. Hackensack won 64-56 in their recent non-league bout against Bergen Tech (Hackensack, NJ)

Next up, the Royals play the Northern Highlands Highlanders (Allendale, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Ridgefield Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Highlanders come into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 47-37 non-league win over Passaic County Tech (Wayne, NJ).
