Construction Red Hawks (Queens, NY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Queens Teaching (Bellerose, NY), 71-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Construction upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Red Hawks travel to Portland (Portland, ME) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Portland won 46-39 in their recent non-league bout against South Portland (South Portland, ME)

Next up, the play the Far Rockaway Seahorses (Far Rockaway, NY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Queens Teaching will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Seahorses go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 72-56 non-league loss to Cardozo (Bayside, NY).
