The Cross County Thunderbirds basketball team (Cherry Valley, AR), was overwhelmed 71-35 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting East Poinsett County Warriors (Lepanto, AR)
The Warriors now possess a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pocahontas for a non-league battle on Wednesday, December 27. East Poinsett County will confront a Redskins team coming off a 57-49 league win over Wynne (Wynne, AR). The Redskins record now stands at 2-4.
The Thunderbirds (4-7) will now prepare for their battle against Harrisburg (Harrisburg, AR). The Hornets come into the non-league battle with a 2-11 record. In their last battle, Harrisburg trounced Piggott (Piggott, AR), 62-42, in a league battle.
