Nebraska High School Basketball - Wood River nudges Cross County

Wood River Eagles (Wood River, NE) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Cross County Cougars (Stromsburg, NE), 51-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wood River upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Cozad (Cozad, NE) to clash with the Haymakers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Haymakers go into the bout with a record of 7-0. Cozad won 61-23 in their recent non-league bout against Superior (Superior, NE)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Osceola Bulldogs (Osceola, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Cross County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record.
