Wallowa Cougars (Wallowa, OR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Elgin Huskies (Elgin, OR), 50-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Wallowa upgrades its record to 2-9 on the season. The Cougars host Harper (Harper, OR) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Harper lost 56-25 in their recent non-league bout against Enterprise (Enterprise, OR)

Next up, the Huskies play the Huntington Locomotives (Huntington, OR) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Elgin will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record.
