Fairfield Tigers (Fairfield, AL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Parker Thundering Herd (Birmingham, AL), 62-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Fairfield upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Russell County (Seale, AL) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 10-3. Russell County won 80-42 in their recent non-league bout against Therrell (Atlanta, GA)

Next up, the Thundering Herd play the Fultondale Wildcats (Birmingham, AL) in a 4A Area 9 bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Parker will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 8-7 record after their 54-45 non-league loss to Carver Birmingham (Birmingham, AL).
