Old Town Coyotes (Old Town, ME) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Houlton Shiretowners (Houlton, ME), 51-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Old Town upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Coyotes host Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME) to play the Ponies in a B North bout on Saturday, December 23. The Ponies come into the bout with a record of 3-1. Foxcroft Academy won 57-52 in their recent league bout against Hermon (Hermon, ME)

Next up, the Shiretowners play the John Bapst Memorial Crusaders (Bangor, ME) in a B North bout, on Saturday, December 23. Houlton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Crusaders come into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 60-37 league loss to Orono (Orono, ME).
