The Rock Falls Rockets basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Mendota Trojans to 54 in the Rockets non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Rockets now sport a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fieldcrest for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 27. Rock Falls will meet a Knights team coming off a 73-47 non-league win over Midland (Varna, IL). The Knights record now stands at 10-0.

The Trojans (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL). The Cavaliers enter the non-league contest with a 10-3 record. In their last contest, LaSalle-Peru ran past Dunlap (Dunlap, IL), 75-66, in a non-league contest.
