Shell Lake Lakers (Shell Lake, WI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Northwood Evergreens (Minong, WI), 62-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Shell Lake upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Lakers travel to St. Croix Falls (St. Croix Falls, WI) to clash with the Saints in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 2-5.

Next up, the Evergreens clash with the Lac Courte Oreilles Eagles (Hayward, WI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 22. Northwood will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 69-39 league loss to Bayfield (Bayfield, WI).
