South Pike Eagles (Magnolia, MS) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Amite County Trojans (Liberty, MS), 20-4 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Pike upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Eagles host McComb (McComb, MS) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 22. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 5-6. McComb won 57-28 in their recent non-league bout against Wilkinson County (Woodville, MS)

Next up, the Trojans play the North Pike Jaguars (Summit, MS) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Amite County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 41-31 league loss to Natchez (Natchez, MS).
