Hillsboro Hiltoppers (Hillsboro, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Auburn Trojans (Auburn, IL), 47-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hillsboro upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Hiltoppers travel to Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL) to clash with the Chiefs in a non-league bout on Friday, December 22. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 11-1. Deer Creek-Mackinaw won 60-25 in their recent non-league bout against Riverton (Riverton, IL)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Sangamon Valley/Tri-City Storm (Niantic, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 22. Auburn will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Storm go into the bout with a 0-10 record after their 53-16 non-league loss to Central A & M (Moweaqua, IL).
