Breese Central Cougars (Breese, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians (Carlyle, IL), 40-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Breese Central upgrades its record to 11-1 on the season. The Cougars host Civic Memorial (Bethalto, IL) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 11-1. Civic Memorial lost 54-37 in their recent league bout against Highland (Highland, IL)

Next up, the Indians/Lady Indians play the Red Bud Musketeers (Red Bud, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 26. Carlyle will attempt to upgrade on its 10-1 season record. The Musketeers go into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 65-37 league loss to Carlyle (Carlyle, IL).
