Walkersville Lions (Walkersville, MD) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Brunswick Railroaders (Brunswick, MD), 65-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Walkersville upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Hayfield (Alexandria, VA) to play the Hawks in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 6-2. Hayfield won 57-9 in their recent league bout against Lewis (Springfield, VA)

Next up, the Railroaders play the Smithsburg Leopards (Smithsburg, MD) in a Central Maryland bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Brunswick will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record.
