The Cochrane-Fountain City Pirates basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Eleva-Strum Cardinals to 24 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Pirates now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shullsburg for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 27. Cochrane-Fountain City will meet a Miners team coming off a 44-39 league win over River Ridge (Patch Grove, WI). The Miners record now stands at 2-7.
The Cardinals (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Mondovi (Mondovi, WI). The Buffaloes enter the non-league contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Mondovi triumphed over Prairie Farm (Prairie Farm, WI), 69-39, in a non-league contest.
